...because we are having a GIRL!!!
I am so excited to say that I'll have one of each soon! We got our 20 week ultrasound on Thursday in San Antonio. Not only are we having a girl, but it turns out I am closer to 19 weeks instead of 20. Which means I have a new due date: Oct. 11...ONE DAY before Bobby's Birthday!
Crazy, huh?
Rob and I have decided to do a home birth. Don't freak out on me people!! I know...I know...this is something I would have NEVER considered myself doing, but I actually feel good about it (otherwise I wouldn't be doing it!). The midwives we see now in San Antonio will be the ones to travel to our home when I am in labor. This is good, because I'll already have a relationship with them. They'll come to Laredo later on in the pregnancy to do a home tour to let me know what I'll need.
We decided on the home birth because it just made sense. I had a relatively short labor with Bobby, and it is common for the 2nd (3rd...4th...) to be shorter than the first time around. I also practically did a home birth already! I was 10 cm dilated before I left for the hospital! So I feel like I could do it. Plus, I really don't want to do a 2 hour drive while in labor. If we delivered at the Birth Center, then we would need a hotel room, and we would spend the night
in the hotel with a newborn, then bring her back the next morning for an exam, then travel 2 hours with a newborn...no thank you!!
I have a growing list of things I want to make before #2 gets here...but for some of them I need to wait until we have a name. We are working on it, but nothing definite yet. Don't worry, I'll let you all know as soon as we decide!
I thought I would have some ultrasound pictures for you to see, but the CD we got doesn't seem to be working right now. Instead, you'll have to see the cutie-patootie outfits I got for Bobby and #2. I went to Carter's and got a few things. I didn't go crazy, but shopping for a girl is going to be so fun! It was a little weird switching over to 'girl' mode, after always getting stuff for Bobby. But I think I'll get used to it!! :)

Aren't these cute??
Baby #2 already has quite the wardrobe! These are hand-me-downs from her cousins. I'm sure I'll add to her collection soon! I haven't even gone through all the clothes yet!
