Oliver

It was just about a year ago, that we welcomed a new member to our family. A four-legged one. Oliver! I have to admit, I wasn't too sure about getting a dog. But he is so lovable and sweet that I got attached.
Ollie (his nickname) loves to be outside, loves going for walks, loves meal times for Bobby (he gets the droppings :) ), and he loves it if anyone will pet him. He thinks he is a lap dog, so if you sit on the floor, he isn't satisfied laying next to you, oh no, he has to try and sit in your lap!
Oliver is so good with Bobby, and Bobby LOVES him. During thunder storms, we'll find Oliver laying outside Bobby's room, protecting him. When he was younger, Bobby would just look at him and start laughing. It was the cutest thing. Bobby is so facinated with him, that "Oliver" was Bobby's first official word! It comes out more like "Ah-ver", but hey--we're talking a 3 syllible word people!! That's pretty good! I can't wait for when Bobby is older and he can really play with Ollie!

Giving besos to Oliver.

Happy one-year Oliver!

Meet the newest member of our family...

Oliver!

Yes, we got a dog! Yes, we have a 6 week old at home. No, we aren't crazy.

We have been talking about getting a dog since before we got married. Rob occasionally looks on craigslist, and he found Oliver. He was a rescue dog, 2 years old and house trained. He can walk on a leash, he rarely barks, he sits when he is told, and stays when he is told. He already has his shots, he is fixed, and he has one of those computer chips in him, in case he gets lost. Can't ask for more than that! The 'foster parents' let us keep him for almost a week to make sure he was a good fit. We got attached, so he is ours!

He is a Boxer/St. Bernard mix. He is full grown, so he won't get any bigger. He is such a sweet dog, I think he will be a great pet for our family!

I do keep him away from Bobby for the most part, although all he has done is sniff him. Pretty soon, I'll have to keep Bobby away from him!
