Easter 2011

I hope you all had a great Easter! We had a wonderful time celebrating God's gift to us with church on Sunday morning, then we spent the rest of the day with family. I was telling Bobby about Jesus and how he died, but we shouldn't be sad because he is alive. He then repeated to me, very excitedly: 'He's ALIVE! He's ALIVE!'. It was so cute!! I've started having Bobby pray to Jesus whenever he is scared, which is a lot lately, he's going through a stage, I guess.. He hasn't said a prayer himself yet, but he closes his eyes real tight and folds his hands together and says 'AMEN!'. I can't wait to see him grow in his relationship with Christ.

We made some cascarones (confetti eggs)! Bobby had a great time with his cousins. I think this will be a tradition I will keep doing, even after we leave Laredo. It was so fun! We began saving eggs months ago, so we had 30 dozen!! I thought it was too many, but it wasn't! There were so many of us running around, it was just the right amount.

Bobby and Lily's Easter baskets. They each got a Bible (this one for Lily, and this one for Bobby) which I can't wait to start reading to them. They also each got a bathing suit (Another tradition I am starting. I borrowed the idea from Erin W.) Bobby's basket unintentionally had a pirate theme. His bathing suit had a skull on it, he got a pirate potato head, and a ball with skulls on it also. He loved the potato head! I wish I would have gotten a picture of his reaction when he saw it. It was priceless.

Hunting for eggs! All the eggs had $$ in them. Bobby got a total of $6! He put it all into his piggy bank. So fun!

Someday I will have a good family picture on Easter. I wanted to get one before we left for church, but Bobby was in a mood, so it didn't happen. This one will have to do! Lily was napping...oh well!

Abby and Ani getting Uncle Roberto!
Me and my princess!

He loved cracking the eggs onto his own head! Silly Bobby!!

I hope you all had a great Easter!! Oh- did I mention I made Lily's Easter dress? Go take a look at it on my other blog, sweet stitches!
