Stay'n cool in this TX drought!!

It is soo hot!! I feel like I am melting when I walk outside, and if your yard is like mine, it could use some rain pronto!! I want Bobby to be able play outside, but in heat like this, I worry that he will get overheated. So what is a mom to do?

Add water!!!

We have been traveling a lot the past couple of weeks. We went to Laredo and Austin to visit family and for some CrossFit activites. (more on that later!) In Laredo the kiddos played in ice chests full of water! Rob's grandparents used to give each of the grand kids their own cooler to play in. It was like their own personal kiddie pool! So my mother-in-law broke out the coolers and containers for our nieces and Bobby. They had so much fun!!

Such a ham! This is her 'happy' face.

Bubbles make everything more fun!

This past weekend, we went to Austin. I met up with Cynthia, and she took me and Bobby to an awesome splash park. I didn't wear my swimsuit, so I was sure I would get soaked chasing Bobby everywhere...when in fact he could care less if I was with him or not!! He army crawled everywhere (on the concrete!! he had a red tummy later...) with water streaming into his eyes. Did he care? Heck no!! He had a blast! It was so fun to watch him explore all the fountains, drains and water spouts.

Ethan and Bobby...checking it out!

The one and only shot of him looking at me. It was quite a task to get him to look at me, he was having so much fun exploring!!

Hmmm...what's this?

Bobby, where are you going?

That is so funny! He must love the water! Remember when yall came to my pool and he kept trying to drink the water spouts...so cute! I like the cooler idea...as long as they don't close:)

Kids in ice chests! Too funny. It's maybe one step above the gumbo pot my cajun grandma gave me to "swim" in.

That is so cute, I may have to try the ice chest idea. He does look like he loves the water, that is great!
