Crafty Weekend!

Casey and I went to our friend, Julie's house yesterday for some fun girl time. We went antiquing and did some major crafting!! It was a lot of fun, I can't wait until we can get together again sometime!!

We went to a couple of different antique shops, and got lots of ideas for crafts we could make. While browsing, I found this perfect distressed shelf to go in the bedroom. I had Rob measure the space for me, and it fit perfectly! If you could have seen Casey and I trying to shove this thing into my car, you probably would have laughed at us. But we were determined, and it ended up fitting in my back seat. (Moral of the story: Always try and bring a truck or small SUV with you when you plan on going antiquing! You never know what you might find!)

Pumpkin
We stayed up late making our little crafts. Julie has an awesome craft room, with anything and everything you may need. We dyed some fabric, made cute fall pumpkins, small decorative pillows, and I made a cute sign. I was so inspired, that my craftiness was not left at Julie's, I made 2 pillows with the left over fabric when I got home! Sigh...I'm tired....

Heart pillow and 'love' pillow, dyed with coffee, for an 'antique' look.

Fun sign with wire and metal star

Pillows for my couch. I was adventurous, and I made a flap for one of the pillows. (Mainly because I didn't have enough fabric to cut out the piece I wanted, so I improvised. ) It turned out pretty good. I think I will add a button later. The other side has plain coffee-dyed off white fabric. (It is actually a dish towel!)
