2 projects down, many more to go!!

I have finished my first round of sewing projects! Last weekend, I tackled the nursing cover, and I think I finished it in about an hour! I have made so many of these, it doesn't take any time at all now. I won't bore you with yet another picture of a nursing cover, but I will show you pictures of my other project: appliquéd onesies!!

I got this super cute idea from Etsy, and they turned out really good, if I do say so myself. I just cut out different shapes from some scrap fabric I had, and then used a zig-zag stitch around the edges. My first two were a little messy looking, but by the 3rd one, I had it down! It is a lot easier if you choose shapes with straight edges, as turning while sewing is somewhat tricky for me. So here they are! My masterpieces! My favorite is the neckties, I think they are so cute, perfect for our little gentleman!!

For my boy: 2 neckties, a pig and a gator

And just because I am having a boy, doesn't mean I couldn't make girly ones!! These I made for my niece, Ana. A watermelon, and a cupcake...perfect for summer!!

Now on to the next project, making the diaper bag!!

Very cute! I'd love to try one of those, but knowing me, I'll procrastinate and never get around to actually doing it. :P

Love, love, love 'em!!!

I think I've decided to do a W in the polka dotted fabric on a white background for one of the throw pillows in the babies' room. What do you think? Want to help me on Friday?
