New Landscaping!!

Saturday was a very productive flower garden day, complete with digging, planting, and mulching. It has been so long since I planted anything, I really missed working in the yard! My back and hamstrings are paying the price now, but the results are worth it! (Don't worry, Rob did most of the hard digging/manual labor for me. Isn't he the best?) To top it all off, I think I only sneezed once or twice, hallelujah!

This is what it looked like when we moved into the house...yuck!! Christina and my sister Michelle kindly removed all those weeds for me. I planted Petunias, they will get a lot bigger and it will look really pretty.

Here is the front of the house when we bought it. One of the first things Rob did when we moved in was pull up all those bushes and weeds. I also had him remove the wooden beams so I could put some stones along the border, and I also curved the flower bed a little bit, instead of keeping it rectangular.

Ta Da!! I just love my Topiary!(Rob thinks it is weird, but I think it is a guy thing...)

Also, we have this rose bush on the side of our house, and it is blooming! Isn't it pretty? I have never had roses, so I'll have to read up on how to care for them, don't want it to die, ya know!!

It looks great Morgan! I am totally inspired to get out in my yard. Not that I know anything about planting flowers, but I am inspired nonetheless! :)

Very cute! I love roses too, but I'm not a gardner. We do have several rose bushes on the side of our house and in the back yard (they were here before we were) and I don't really do anything to them. I clip some occasionally to put in a vase, but that's it- and they look great! I think my mom said they love sun and I think something about epsum salt???
